Global warming remains a global concern, and Indonesia has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, aiming for a 31.89% reduction by 2030 through its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC). This study calculates net-zero emission indices by comparing carbon emissions and sequestration based on land cover, revealing that Indonesia's overall index is below 1, indicating progress toward emissions reduction. However, densely populated provinces such as DKI Jakarta, DI Yogyakarta, North Sumatra, and Riau have indices greater than 1, signifying room for improvement in their emissions reduction efforts.
