Given the importance of contemporary energy and climate issues in ASEAN, and the need for interdisciplinary research on such topics, the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) through their joint ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project (ACCEPT) established a new group of scholars, analysts, researchers, students, and other stakeholders organized around the themes of “energy studies/researches” and “climate studies/researches”.
We call this the “ASEAN Researchers Network on Energy and Climate Change,” or ARNECC.
ARNECC provides an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of social, economic, governance and technical issues related to energy and/or climate change.
It is open to researchers from any discipline or level of experience, and not limited to any particular technology, sector, or topic, from Southeast Asia nations.
Researchers who are not from Southeast Asia but have experience or on-going studies and research on the two issues in Southeast Asia (local, national or regional level) are also welcomed to join.
Ideally the Network will discuss the following, among other items:
With ASEAN-wide and beyond membership, we anticipate diverse and exciting discussions.
If at any stage, you have any questions relating to ARNECC, please get in touch with the list administrator at [email protected].
We hope that you will enjoy the discussions that follow.
Best wishes on behalf of the host,
ASEAN Centre for Energy
