The ASEAN Climate Change and Energy Project (ACCEPT) is the first integrated project on the energy-climate nexus in the ASEAN countries. ACCEPT is implemented by the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) and Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and aims to support ASEAN readiness for the energy transition as laid out in the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC).

To support knowledge and capacity building on the energy-climate nexus, ACCEPT II invites researchers to submit proposals for academic articles on relevant topics in the energy and climate sectors. The objectives of this proposal are:

1. Address regional challenges related to energy transition, energy security, climate change, and sustainable development and their alignment with regional efforts and international commitments.
2. Identify and support new research findings that can be helpful in dealing with energy and/or climate issues in ASEAN.
3. Provide policymakers with evidence-based research and recommendations for the energy-climate nexus in ASEAN

We welcome original research, case studies, and reviews on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to energy policy, climate policy, low-carbon energy technologies, climate finance, stranded assets, just energy transitions, inclusivity and gender equality in the energy transition.
