High Level Policy Dialogue on “Sustainable Energy Financing and Mobilization of Energy Investment to Ensure Energy Security and Achieve the NDCs in ASEAN”
As ASEAN strives to ensure energy security and achieve the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) outlined in the Paris Agreement, it is paramount to address the pressing challenges through collaborative efforts and strategic policy discussions. To achieve the NDCs, ASEAN member states need substantial investments in renewable energy projects. However, financing clean energy projects remains a formidable challenge. Despite the cost competitiveness of renewable technologies, the upfront investment required is often substantial. A high-level policy dialogue within ASEAN becomes imperative to address these barriers and unlock the potential of sustainable energy financing.
Following the directive of the 22nd ASEAN Regional Energy Policy and Planning Sub-Sector Network (REPP-SSN) Meeting held on 29 May 2023 in Singapore, ACE is very pleased to support Annual Priorities (AP) for Indonesia Chairmanship in ASEAN 2023 (Energy Cooperation), to organise a High-Level Policy Dialogue on “Sustainable Energy Financing and Mobilisation of Energy Investments to ensure Energy Security and achieve the NDCs in ASEAN“.
