The study highlighted that the absence of regional policies and lack of financial scheme of hydrogen and CCS in the region as one of the obstacles to implement CCS and hydrogenReferring to the study, it recommends three policy aspects on hydrogen and CCS that can be considered. First, the region needs to develop a roadmap and strategy to unlock the potential for hydrogen and CCS in ASEAN. Second, the region needs a clear regulatory framework policy for implementing hydrogen and CCS in ASEAN to regulate technical and non-technical aspects. Third, the urgency to build a clear stakeholder mapping and analysis to further expand ASEAN’s opportunities to unlock the potential and the development of hydrogen and CCS in ASEAN so that it can compete globally and ensure it has long-term sustainability.
