The ninth series of ARNECC Paper Talks will discuss the topic of “The relationship between energy subsidies, oil prices, and CO₂ emissions in selected Asian countries: a panel threshold analysis”. This study evaluates the impact of energy subsidies, oil prices, and economic output on the emission reductions in 20 Asian oil producing countries, including the major oil producer of ASEAN, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The two authors, Mr Dzul Hadzwan Husaini of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak and Dr Hooi Hooi Lean of Universiti Sains Malaysia, will jointly present the key findings and recommendations of this study. We are pleased to invite you to join this discussion!
